Jaonaay and Jaokhun, two of Thailand’s rising stars, have signed with Sony Music Thailand as part of the label’s strategic push to champion local talent and amplify Thai artists and songs internationally.
Known for their contemporary pop blended with Gen Z cultural influences, the brothers have been involved in music, live performances, entertainment, and media since childhood. As sons of Thai pop icon J Jetrin Wattanasin, they grew up immersed in music, which is reflected in their diverse artistry. Their fluency in both Thai and English has facilitated a strong Asian fan base, with their music uniquely combining their heritage and a global perspective.
The older brother, Jaonaay, naturally blends modern and Thai elements in his music. His distinctive voice and emotive lyrics contributed to the success of his debut single, “คนละชั้น (Kon La Chun),” which won Song of the Year at the 2018 Nine Entertainment Awards when he was 16. An accomplished artist, Jaonaay also starred in the television adaptation of “Bad Genius: The Series” and composed/sang "โกงรักไม่ได้" (Kong Rak Mai Dai) for its soundtrack.
Jaokhun has established his presence in the Thai music scene with a commanding voice and performance style. His introspective lyrics and connection to Thai Gen Z pop culture distinguish him in a genre often influenced by Western music. Known for his engaging stage presence, he integrates pop and hip-hop, delivering energetic performances and a unique genre-blending style. Honing his musical skills through live shows and studio work, his single, “Talay," quickly gained popularity, showcasing his approachable charm and catchy melodies. Beyond music, Jaokhun is passionate about dance and fashion, which influence his visual presentation and stage presence.
Their signing with Sony Music Thailand offers opportunities for creative development, international collaborations, and broader exposure.
Jaonaay and Jaokhun shared, “Working with Sony Music Thailand opens a whole new world for us creatively. We are ready to explore new sounds, push ourselves, and try things we have never done before. With their global reach and strong legacy in shaping music worldwide, Sony Music Thailand’s support will push us to think bigger and bolder. It’s inspiring to be part of a team that helps elevate our creativity, and that makes all the difference. We’re looking forward to sharing what’s next, bringing our music to even more listeners in Asia and telling our stories on a larger scale.”
“Jaonaay and Jaokhun are redefining what it means to be an artist in today’s world with their strong sense of self and a passion for creative expression,” said Shridhar Subramaniam, President for Asia and Middle East, Sony Music Entertainment. “Each has crafted a unique sound and a creative vision that spans beyond just music. Their authenticity, talent, and cultural perspective reflect the kind of artists we are proud to work with at Sony Music.”
“We have watched Jaonaay and Jaokhun grow as artists over the years, and we are excited to support their creative ambitions as they take the next step,” said Kevin Foo, Managing Director for Southeast Asia (Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand), Sony Music Entertainment. “Together, they bring a fresh, exciting dynamic to T-pop, and we are proud to support them in creating music and listening experiences that resonate well across Asia.”
With Sony Music Thailand, the duo will continue to work on original material that reflects their artistic vision, and fans can expect new music to be released in the second half of 2025.
