DOJO CITY 2024

From the Y2K fashion fever to classical movies to nostalgic playlists, Gen-Z is longing for a taste of old times. There’s no denying that childhood memories are precious to us all. Commemorating the 30th anniversary of the legendary label, Bakery Music, Sony Music Entertainment Thailand has recently introduced its timeless gem “Back To The Bakery Vol.1”. The album, a compilation of the top hits of our time, is a thank-you to our childhood musical heroes, being reproduced by the colorful voices of the new era.

Following the hype of the "Back To The Bakery Vol.1" project, the music label, “Sony Music Entertainment Thailand” is coming around yet again for another nostalgic remedy. This time, it’s with “DOJO CITY”, another iconic record label with top artists like Triumphs Kingdom, Project H, Mr.Sister, and many more. Sony Music Entertainment Thailand hand-selected the greatest hits from DOJO CITY precisely for this “DOJO CITY 2024” project. The girl-next-door core, the spark of the tank-top era, the hanging out at Siam Square, the ‘Katch’ magazine, and all the fun the era has to offer are packed right here for those who missed the opportunity. All in all, DOJO CITY was at the heart of the 1990s-2000s youthful pop cultures!

A caravan of new wave artists coloring the tunes for “DOJO CITY 2024” is the highlight of this project. The vibrant song list includes อยู่นาน ๆ อีกนิด by KIKI,ล่ำบึก by PiXXiE, ไปพัก by VINI, ฝันร้าย by Percy, จินตนาการ by YONLAPA, อยากได้ by _less, and รักเถอะ by Montonn Jira. That concludes the DOJO CITY’s compilation album, a collection of songs that stretches from the past to the youngsters of the future. The magic doesn’t end there, Mr.Z, or Zomkiat Ariyachaipanich of the DOJO CITY label himself, was the music consultant for this album. Move your feet and feel the heat in the fresh-yet-old-school-based DOJO CITY style. Better yet, let the music touch your soul and sink into the sadness of the sentimental tunes. The album cover speaks for itself. Before the birth of flashy social media, the cover illustrates a girl’s bedroom during the 1990s-2000s when songs came from the radio, the magazine was the chic entertainment, and texting via SMS was the most romantic thing to ever exist. As for the visuals, the music videos are inspired by the retro dancing game. Each character was tailored to fit each song. Vintage satisfaction is guaranteed.
